The Porter’s role will provide friendly, courteous guest service and hospitality to fulfill our mission and increase guest loyalty to encourage return visits. The porter will prepare restaurant for opening and provide maintenance to the interior and exterior of the restaurant and equipment timely and accurately.

Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates sanitation and food safety practices consistently
• Checks over restaurant from previous close to ensure a safe and secure environment
• Completes daily, weekly and monthly jobs timely and accurately, for restaurant opening according to procedures
• Maintains appearance of the building exterior and grounds effectively
• Coordinates job duties around other opening team members to help ensure efficient preparation for opening Sweep and pressure wash sidewalk near entrance, organize dumpsters and trash cans
• Sweep, mop and vacuum entryways, stairs, offices, event spaces and restrooms
• Stock and deep clean restrooms
• Clean and polish wooden stainless-steel surfaces
• Set up tables and chairs in event spaces per daily floor plan
• Follow daily checklist and check out with Manager
• Other duties as directed by Manager

Skills & Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or fellow employees
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance
Physical Demands
• The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
