Jean-Georges Management  Actively Seeking a Director of F&B

The Director of Food and Beverage has overall operational, financial and culinary responsibility for the restaurant. He/she must be the leader of the restaurant overseeing the flow of operations, including all service, guest relations, kitchen operations, accounting, administration, banquets and room service. The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for assisting with developing and operating a cost effective operation which exceeds guest expectations through the service of high quality food and beverages in a clean and comfortable atmosphere. He/she has overall responsibility for all aspects of the restaurant; in particular as related to sales, profit and the development of people.

Ideal Candidates would have the following prerequisites and characteristics:
Independent, self-motivated thinker.

Previous experience in all hourly roles (has growth history in FOH roles).
Possess strong understanding of restaurant financials.
Experienced in forecasting.
Experienced in dynamic scheduling.
Has strong understanding of cost controls.
Owner mentality.
Understanding and experienced in beverage purchasing, managing cost and maintaining inventory.
Fine dining experience a must.
3-5 years restaurant management experience, in a high-volume setting.
FULL AVAILABILITY-Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
*Previous restaurant experience in 150 seats, 3 meal periods ideal.
