We are looking to fill Sous Chef and Pastry Chef position for two new concepts opening in the heart of Venice Beach: The Pier House & Cartolina. The Venice Pier House and Cartolina will be a Chef driven concept using seasonal market ingredients
The Pier House, designed by Jeffery Kurt of Gjelina and Laurel Hardware, will be an upscale yet casual style dining experience with 128 seats, has a strong seafood focus. We want to bring an east coast style seafood restaurant to the beach that will pay homage to the history of the original Venice pier of the early 1900's. The menu will have all the classic fish house dishes with a modern twist and the beverage menu will be complementary to the food menu with beach renditions of classic cocktails, approachable wine list, and boutique assortment of liquor.
Next to Pier House, and connected, is Cartolina. This will be a quick service marketplace and caféwith a focus of pizza, fresh market items, sandwiches, and coffee. Cartolina has 48 seats outside on the sidewalk for casual dining.
