Café Altro Paradiso, an Italian-inspired restaurant in SoHo, is seeking a bartender. Our menu features insightfully executed interpretations of regional Italian dishes from Chef Ignacio Mattos. Our wine program is Italian-focused with approximately 300 selections plus a full bar serving both classic and house cocktails, craft beers and an array of aperitivi, amari and other spirits. All of this in a gorgeous, sun-drenched corner space.
Our cocktail program is informed by our culinary identity. We aim to produce cocktails that are honest, timeless and favor adaptations of classics using clean, straight-forward ingredients and spirits. Applicants must be highly motivated team players with positive attitudes to excel in this fun, fast-paced and convivial atmosphere. Applicants should have daytime and weekend availability.
- 2+ year experience in New York City restaurants
- Passionate and knowledgeable about food, wine, beer and spirits
- Sound understanding of and ability to prepare classic cocktails using proper techniques
- Barista experience a HUGE plus
- Driven, hardworking, enthusiastic, quick-learners
- Hospitality oriented; Able to anticipate guests needs
- Good communication skills
