The team behind Federal Donuts and Zahav are looking for a working Chef to join our growing fast casual restaurant operation. As Chef, you will be both an ambassador for the restaurant kitchen team as well as your restaurant mission. A passion for sandwich artistry is key. The right candidate is dependable, has a killer attitude, and a commitment to leading the team. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong ability to prioritize tasks. This is an open kitchen, so leading your team with heads held high is of the utmost importance, as well as maintaining a meticulously clean work environment. This is primarily a daytime hours gig, but working on weekends is mandatory, and two years experience is required.
- Manage kitchen opening and set-up
- Manage kitchen closing, breakdown & cleaning
- Manage daily food production and quality
- Ensure the food and kitchen space meet cleanliness and food safety standards
- Recruit and train new team members
- Train team members on menu procedures and quality standards
- Lead pre-shift meeting
- Submit nightly invoicing and reporting
