Job Details
Storico Restaurant is seeking a Host/ Hostess primary responsibility is to greet and seat guests, coordinate guest reservations and respond to inquiries.  The Host/Hostess will book reservations using Open Table. They are a critical link to guest satisfaction.



Includes, but is not limited to the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage the Open Table Reservation System.
  • Enthusiastically greet and seat guests
  • Communicate special requests with General Manager, server and kitchen teams.
  • Answering phones
  • Direct guests to bar, restaurant, lounge area or restrooms
  • Maintain flow of service
  • Provide high level of guest service.
  • Maintains full knowledge of food, beverages, products, and services.
  • Monitor wait list and estimate wait times for guests.
  • Assist with special events.
  • Assist visitors with directions, information, etc.
  • Assist servers and server assistants as needed.
  • Attend to Valet Service notification system



  • High School Diploma required. Some college preferred.
  • Previous hosting, restaurant, and guest service experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be available to work weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and some holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Open Table Reservation System experience preferred



  • Ability to read and speak fluently, in the primary language of the property location.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense, define problems, collect data and notify management when necessary.
  • Ability to successfully re-prioritize tasks in a moment’s notice.

  • Protect the name of the restaurant and ensure that no actions are taken within Marble Room Steaks and Raw Bar that could bring the restaurant into disrepute.
  • Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of employees, restaurant guests and property. Responds swiftly and effectively in any emergency of safety situations.
  • Assure the proper handling of VIPs. Protect their privacy and confidentiality.
  • Ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures at all levels.
  • Maintains an innovative technical expertise through attendance of professional meetings and review of current literature and trends.
  • All other responsibilities assigned by management.

  • Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours per day
  • Use hands to touch, grasp, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, taste and smell.
  • Lift more than 40 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to pass basic safety course.
