Who we are -- Stone Soup, Inc., is dedicated to setting new standards in service, cuisine and the employment experience. We manage two event facilities: Pomme--an 8000 square foot contemporary club house in Radnor on Philadelphia's Main Line; and Parque—a turn of the century (20th) mansion in bucolic Ridley Creek State Park. We also create and manage events at private residences and event venues in the tri-state area. We seek inspired candidates who are passionate about food and about the guests' experience.
Must have 3 + years catering and management experience in upscale venues
Must be able to work a flexible schedule/extended hours including nights and weekends
Excellent organization and customer service skills
Ability to provide own transportation and at home computer/laptop a huge plus
Ability to receive and follow through instructions under limited supervision
Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversee hiring, training, and scheduling of all servers, bartenders and event managers.
Maintain staff scheduling in compliance with company standards of labor costs.
Payroll preparation; including management of time keeping clocks.
Work jointly with Chef, sales team and Director of Operations to insure that excellent standards of service are maintained by all employees under her/his direction.
Review banquet event order and ensure necessary preparation. Distribute to staff in advance of event.
Supervise and assist with proper set up, execution of, and clean up of all catered functions.
Ensure the highest quality products and services are provided to every customer.
Job requires working hours as needed and will vary according to seasonal event schedule. Must be available for two days in office during the week.
