Hewn, an artisan bakery located in Evanston, Illinois, is looking for new team members to assist with our wholesale and retail program. Responsibilities include working in the FOH serving customers, working as a barista, packing baked goods, loading delivery vans and even delivering orders to our wholesale customers in Evanston, Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. 

We need a dependable person who is an early riser - and who is very organized. We currently provide wholesale bread and pastries to 40 different restaurants, coffee shops and small markets in the near northern suburbs and Chicago.  Our bakery is a fast paced, high volume environment.  We promise that you will never be bored!

Several shifts start at 4:30 am. Weekend morning availability is required.   There is room to grow professionally in this position.

Food safety certification is preferred, but if you don't have it, we will have you take the course and test at our expense.

We recently expanded our store, more than doubling our size. This is a great time to join a small but growing, family owned business.

Qualifications:

A friendly, positive attitude!
Customer Service experience
Retail experience
Clean driving record
Ability and willingness to drive a small delivery van
Abilty to multitask and stay organized
Basic computer skills (must print out invoices and interpret production orders)
Ability to work well with a team
A positive and energetic attitude
Attention to detail
Ability to work early morning hours (beginning at 4:30 am) and every Sunday and Monday, along with 1-2 other days,  per week.
Ability to lift 40 lbs
