SCALES, a New England seafood emporium is now nearing construction in our brand-new location on the beautiful waterfront of Portland, Maine. We're looking for enthusiastic, talented culinary professionals to fill every level and station of our new restaurant kitchen, including Chef, Sous-chefs, Pastry Chef, Raw-bar, Garde-manger, Line Cooks, and Basic Preparation. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with us on the opening of a new restaurant from the ground up, to stretch knowledge and learn new skills. We're dedicated to the best practices in ocean conservation and sustainability, and to working closely with Maine's fisheries and agricultural communities.
Scales is a project by the same team that created Fore Street, one of the restaurants that helped make Portland an international food destination. Our chef-partner is a James Beard Award winner, and Fore Street has earned multiple James Beard Award nominations.
We anticipate a September starting date.
