ROKA AKOR brings an unparalleled combination of thoughtful design and contemporary Robata Japanese cuisine to four locations across the U.S., including Scottsdale, AZ, San Francisco, and Chicago, Oak Brook and Skokie, IL. 

Roka Akor’s menu changes seasonally, including a rotating selection of prime-cut steaks, seafood, and vegetables with Japanese-inspired marinades and sauces, along with sushi and sashimi. The restaurant’s design features a centrally located robata grill that provides the heart of the visual experience, surrounded by contemporary décor and sleek lighting. Guests are encouraged to speak with the chefs about the food to create an interactive and engaging dining experience.

Bartenders:  Cuisine and service are an integral part of the Roka Akor experience, and our beverage program is critical to the experience as well.  Our bartenders have a beverage list that encompasses eastern as well as western style beverages, and must be capable in their knowledge and ability to recommend to guests appropriately. They must be able to properly execute recipes and preparations for all drinks in a timely manner as ordered. Also, because Roka’s standards of cuisine are kept high, the expectations of a bartender’s knowledge of our food are equal to that of our servers, and service standards are no different for a bar diner, a lounge guest, or any main dining room guest.          

 

Primary Responsibilities:        

  1. Beverage recommendation and order
  2. Initial greet of bar guests
  3. Dining room well drink service bar
  4. Food introduction, recommendations, and coursing
  5. Bar top maintenance and cleanliness
  6. Glass ware cleaning, polishing, and breakage control
  7. Maintaining proper stock levels of all liquors during shift

 

AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The meaning of the first word is hearth, a gathering place where people socialize and take in the ambience; the latter stands for a burning fire and projecting energy.
