Santa Monica Proper is looking for an enthusiastic Host/Hostess to provide excellent guest experience. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper Hotel will feature interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool, 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and almost 7,000 square feet of ground floor retail.

The Host/Hostess will provide excellent customer service by creating a personable and memorable experience for guests, while maintaining the functionality and safety of the hotel.

Job Overview
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, while seating them in a timely manner
• Manage seating between stations to ensure balance in workload for wait staff
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
• Answer telephones and schedule reservations using appropriate phone etiquette
• Learn Food and Beverage Menu
• Ensure a clean and organized front of the house environment
