With its name borrowed from Patience Gray’s Honey From a Weed (a cookbook, memoir, and love letter to Southern Europe and the Mediterranean), Merenda is the brainchild of a proud Oceanside local who brings a broad palette of cultural experiences to his coastal roots.
Merenda will showcase a curated selection of local and international wines, with a focus on producers who employ low-intervention and sustainable practices in the vineyard and the winery. Offering a wine club, tasting events, and wine classes, in addition to retail and on-site options boasting a wide range of styles and price points, there will be something special on offer for everyone, from wine novices to seasoned connoisseurs.
Merenda's culinary offerings will be a celebration of simplicity and quality ingredients. From artisanal salumi and cheeses to small plates highlighting the beauty and diversity of the culinary traditions of Southern Europe and the Mediterranean, Merenda will be the spot for an intimate dinner for one at the bar or casual snacking amongst friends over a bottle of wine, or three.
