About Momofuku
Momofuku was founded by chef David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York City. Credited with “the rise of contemporary Asian-American cuisine” by the New York Times and named the “most important restaurant in America” by Bon Appétit magazine, Momofuku has opened restaurants in the United States, Australia, and Canada. About Momofuku CCDC
Momofuku CCDC opened in 2015 and serves a constantly evolving menu. Executive Chef Tae Strain and the CCDC team create seasonally focused dishes that showcase Mid-Atlantic purveyors and the region’s food traditions.
Momofuku Servers are the representative of the restaurant to guests. Servers are responsible for guiding guests through the Momofuku experience. Momofuku Servers are expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful while upholding company standards and values in a busy, fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide guest’s complete dining and restaurant experience
- Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times
- Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items including the major components of a dish/drink; this may include ingredients and their source, simple descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients, preparation, and/or execution of correct food and beverage service
- Adhere to all company service standards and protocols
- Confident and correct use of POS system for order entry and payment processing
- Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction
- Ensure proper table maintenance, including water service, pre-bussing, etc.
- Ensure guests are charged correctly and receive proof of payment in a timely manner
- Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary
- Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service
- Engage management for any guest issue or complaint
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of service tools and service areas
- Stocking and preparing service related items
- Adhere to grooming and dress code standards
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years serving experience in a high volume environment
- Strong food and beverage knowledge and a passion for the service industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative attitude
- Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude
- Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
- Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
- Basic food and wine knowledge preferred
Physical Demands
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
