Takashi, a Janapese-Korean BBQ restaurant, is seeking a full time General Manager to manage operations onsite at our West Village restaurant. Since 2010, we’ve been open everyday for dinner only and can seat up to 34 beef-lovers at our seven tables and chef’s counter. Our menu is beef, all beef and nothing but beef! Choice cuts of Premium Japanese and American Angus are delicately prepared and served raw to be grilled right at your table (yakiniku), as well as a decadent selection of variety meats (horumon).
The right candidate has extensive experience in managing front of house operations, enjoys service and hospitality, and has impeccable presentation and a positive can-do attitude. Must be comfortable managing a detail-oriented and customer-focused team and be able to work independently without close supervision to solve problems.
Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Hiring and overseeing the waitstaff
- Ordering supplies and beverages
- Overseeing repairs and maintenance
This is a full-time position and requires flexibility in the morning/afternoon and presence at the restaurant five days a week from 4-7pm during dinner service. Salary and benefits commensurate upon experience.
